Class of 2019
I’m a 9th grader who transferred from West Prep to Desert Rose High School so I could be in ROTC. I am also President of the Scholar Council and enjoy community service. My dream is to graduate from West Point as an officer in the Marine Corps so I can serve my country and make my family proud.
Dream: To Serve My Country
I’m 15 years old and a 9th grader at West Prep. I really enjoy cooking and the supernatural interests me, too. I would like to study culinary arts at the College of Southern Nevada, hopefully with a few free credits if I can take the culinary classes offered at my high school. Plan B is to attend an institute of metaphysics and study demonology.
Dream: To become a chef or demonologist
I’m a 9th grader at West Prep. I dream of being a hairstylist and working with my aunt, who is a makeup artist. “Tia” inspires my creativity when I’m cutting and coloring peoples’ hair. As someone who can be very dramatic, I am also inspired by actress/singer Lea Michele from Glee.
Dream: To be a hairstylist and/or actress
My name is DeShawn Coleman. I go to West Prep. I am 15 years old and I am from Cincinnati, Ohio. My dream is to be a professional drummer. I want to be one of the best drummers in the world. That is my passion and I believe I can make it happen.
Dream: To be a professional drummer
My name is Michelle and I am 16 years old. My dream after high school is to attend college and become a forensic scientist. Along with the support of my family and Core Academy, I hope to achieve my goals and become successful in the near future.
Dream: To become a Forensic Scientist
I am 15 and go to West Prep. I am currently studying my way out of high school. I want to attend UNR (University of Nevada Reno) and study criminal justice. I want to go far in life and hope that Core Academy helps me through school.
Dream: To become a C.I.A. Agent
I hope to pursue my dream of becoming a successful entrepreneur and creating my own skateboarding brand. I want to determine my own success and take charge of my own future. Even though I dream of one day escaping the “hood,” I love the street culture. When it’s the only place you’ve known, you learn to love it in its own unique way. This environment has shaped me and inspires me to seek more.
